 The productivity problem due to oil in Alkaline degreasing baths:


                    Oil contamination is the most insidious problem, a plating shop has to face. It results in patches, white streaks, peeling off etc. Whenever, a problem comes the immediate reaction is “dump and replace’. This creates the worst pollution problem.
                    The fifth factor that affects cleaning process besides bath chemicals, temperature mechanical energy and time is keeping the chemical bath free from contamination. You can make a poor coating perform with excellent pretreatment. However, you can’t make an excellent coating perform with poor pretreatment. During one of our world wide survey, we found that 90% of the plating problems are related to oil contamination.
                    If oil is not removed continuously, the availability of surfactants for the parts cleaning process will be reduced eventually occupying all of the surfactant in the aqueous cleaner.
                    Most of the oil removal systems available in the market does not remove the oil 100%. However our system removes the oil 100%.

 HOW DOES IT WORK
 

TOS
separation technology provides the high efficiency required to remove the oil and dirt without affecting the composition of the aqueous cleaner. This device is mounted in a tank placed next to the bath and, using gravity feed, cleaner is fed from bath to separator. Oil – free cleaner is returned to the process and made available for extended re-use.

REMOVAL OF OIL: For removal of oil from soak tank to TOS separator no manual operation is involved. Oil gets collected automatically in the oil collection tank and depending on the level of collection oil is to be removed from the tank after closing the valve.

REMOVAL OF SLUDGE: A Sludge collecting manifold is provided in the bottom side of the TOS Separator. This can be opened weekly to collect the sludge.
